To begin with this is not my campaign, its just something I found people might be interested in.
I have been following the development of AAGateway on THIS XDA THREAD.
This basically allowed you to use an old phone or android device always connected to your car as a slave to display wireless android auto from your main phone.
So it was: Main phone > wireless connection > old phone(slave) > USB Connection > Headunit
The idea evolved into making a dedicated device that would emulate the official Android Auto standard so you just plug it to the USB port and connect your phone as if it was an official Wireless Android Auto Unit and so the Indiegogo campaign started a few days ago HERE
I'm probably going to end up backing this crowdfunding project.
What do you guys think?
