I got a set of new Rays gramlight rims, it is 18 x 8.5
Stock tire is 235/40/18,
my question is, will there be any problem if I run 245/40/18 on the new rim?

There should not be any problem at all to mount 245/40/18 on a 18 x 8.5 wheel. The OEM wheels are 18 x 8 for the 235/40/18 tires.
