So I was just poking around under my hood after my car stalled out when cold-starting a couple times. I noticed that the PCV hose from the valve cover to the manifold had a nice split in it and was just very worn and soft feeling. It appears the valve has begun to clog up and cause the hose to collapse under vacuum repeatedly, wearing the split into it.

I'm about to go pull the valve out of the cover now and clean it out in hopes I can get it flowing enough to not collapse the repaired hose.

Good luck, and post an update. I wouldn't repair the hose though, I would just drive to the dealership and buy a new one.

Er, yeah, by repaired I meant replaced. There doesn't seem to be a need for a molded hose here so I just replaced it with some fuel line.

Cleaning the valve seems to have freed it up and the car runs perfectly once again. Take the o rings off if you decide to do this because the brake cleaner will swell them btw...I may still order a new valve but couldn't find one locally anyway.

Man, I wished I did the research first. I paid $70 in labor to replace that same hose because I didn't know what it was. I asked them to give me the worn out PCV hose/tube so I can see it myself. Then came home, did some research and found your post. Hate my life.
