Congrats!!! Hearing the nightmare stories of people trying to secure one… I think I got it fairly easy lol.
glad to hear it …. Majority likely had to jump through hoops & roll over 3 times.. lol. I kid now but it was tough process to go through with no guarantees.
Always had a thing for yellow & wanted the LE the first time I saw pics of it testing at the Ring 2 years ago before we all knew it was gonna be designed & built as an LE version.
I was hoping it was just a new color coming….
This pic is back in 89 when I bought my first yellow Honda. She was a beauty & a thrill to daily drive.

You’re an OG. Would you say Honda is headed in the right direction based on your experience after driving the FK8?

Man, that’s a tough one…. Honda is so unpredictable & mostly conservative in order to appeal to the masses.
That’s why I was surprisingly shocked (in a good way) when Honda pulled the wraps off that bright green 10th gen civic coupe concept at the New York auto show back in 2015! … wow!
Honda went radical & I loved the bold move & design. I was immediately hooked especially after I saw how the nice interior complimented the rad exterior. We actually have 2 FKs in the fam.
It’s really been hit & miss since my CRX days. Other than the FKs, I’m looking forward to seeing what Acura does with their next ILX replacement.
Interesting times but I honestly think the 10th gen will go down in history as one of the best! It already is in my book….

#390. Boring number but my salesman wore Yellow sneaks upon delivery.... I almost made him take them off and put them in the car! ??
My salesman Ron @ Rockwall Honda, my new BFF, made sure there were no license plate drilled, no mudguards drilled, No stupid pinstripes & no one breathed on it. Put that deposit down over the phone even before off the trailer. Sorry bros, it was mine before you wanted to touch it. ?

High line PPF - All black trim, spoiler#1,spoiler #2.. spoiler #3, Full Roof, mirrors, side door appliques, front trim and full front panels fender, hood, scoop. No lines and all tucked CLEAN!

$2800 + 2 days

And no, I didn't pay sticker. I made sure all of us averaged a higher collector price thank you ???

Besides, I had a Ludicrous moment...
Ron was barefoot & needed new shoes after I left! ??

Took me about 8 hours start to finish, but I got my paint correction done in preparation for CQuartz UK 3.0 ceramic coat application. Photos attached.

The paint integrity was actually overall really good, but this was my first time using a DA polisher so I really took my time.

It just took me another 3 hours to complete my first coat, tomorrow night I’ll add a final coat of CQuartz SiC. Finally, at some point this week, I'm ceramic coating my wheels, which I didn't bother to clean in the attached photos.

That’s great! You saved a boatload. I just paid $1100 for XPEL CC.

With plenty of freezing nights, days not much above 10deg C and huge numbers of potholes due to recent heavy rain I decided to put on my FK2 19x8.5 wheels with Michelin PS4S tyres.

Being gloss black they actually look quite good on the LE. I weighed them at 22.39kg (49.3lb) and the BBS at 20.89kg (46.06lb) so they give away ~1.5kg to the lighter OEM wheels.

Will break out the BBS & Cup 2s come spring when it's warmer.

I just ordered the same wheels from tegi a few days ago too, the ONLY ones I felt was right for 19s on the LE

Once the PS4S are done I notice that the new Cup 2 Connect in 245/35/19 are half a kg lighter again. Still 1kg more in total than the OEM BBS combination but with a 240 treadwear rating (compared to 180 for the current Cup 2) they might be a good compromise to keep the factory suspension geometry and have something that is a slightly better track/street compromise. Also if you damage one it won't cost a kidney to replace.
