Hey all, I’m new to this website and looking to get some advice on my situation. I purchased a brand new 2020 Honda Civic sport about 5 months ago (it has 7,500 miles on it) and I noticed that the heater wasn’t working very good this winter. It would sometimes blow cold air when it shouldn’t. after I had already been driving for awhile and the heat is on. So for the hell of it I just checked my coolant levels and there wasn’t a single drip of coolant in the tank. I brought it to the service center at the dealership I bought it from to have it looked at and they told me that nothing is wrong with it and that they think it just came from the factory with no coolant in the tank and that I had been driving it like that This whole time. They said they believe it didn’t do any damage. Is this something I should be worried about? Is my engine already potentially

Well... the same people who forgot to check this are the same ones who are saying 'trust me'.

However...

If you were getting heat to the heater core; I believe there was coolant moving heat around. I wouldn't be happy about this. But if you were getting a normal reading from the temp gauge; I wouldn't worry that much.
