This post was to find out how low I can go with the front HKS coilovers without damage. See my post below I took from Jonny.

It wasn't meant to ask how...these aren't fully threaded coilovers.

Thanks

you can make it go as low as your threaded portion allows technically.
its just if you go too much you will have to mess with the spring preload or have spring droop.

It's just like adjusting KW V3s

From the table, I agree with you. Looks like the lowest setting is 630mm, and the recommended setting is 649mm. HKS stated that going with the lowest setting is not street legal LOL, and if you have oil leakage from the strut, they won't honor the warranty.

In term of adjustment, can you just rotate the bottom perch to adjust the height? That's how coilovers are usually adjusted.

lol...I guess I need to take a pic for you guys. The bottom perch isn't like other coilovers....so that bottom part does not spin...it's fixed

here guys...as you can see...it's fixed on the bottom (the ones on the left of course...ones on the right are for the rear and are like most where you can adjust the bottom for ride height)...only the spring height is adjustable...so lower that means compressing the shock more right? not good I'd assume

I think you have to loosen the smaller bottom perch aka the locking perch first. Does it come with 2 wrenches?

I kinda wish they put the dampening adjustment on top, not at the bottom.

It looks like both front and rear are adjusted from the bottom.

When I think bottom I think the part that bolts into the chassis at the bottom...that isnt adjustable.

Then gold locking pieces...yes they are but not that bottom part

Hope this helped...guess it's hard to see in the regular pic? Blue X's signify that part can not move, rotate, adjust, etc.

Red, yes of course can

Okay buy some and let me know how it goes. I just don't get this forum lmao...I keep saying it...no one listens lmao
All I'm saying is most of the coils I've see for this car have pretty much the same adjustment as these.
