If there is no problem code pointing to a ecu fault then no eyebrows would be raised toward a computer problem. I can tell I would be pissing in the wind with the remainder of our conversation so I will end with this. You dont know what your talking about so just quit fear mongering.

BTW I have never in my 10 years within this industry seen a computer issue cause a catastrophic engine failure. CEL and limp modes would occur first in 99% of any computer failures.

If a person is retarded enough to tune a car to the point of failure twice after honda replaces the engine once then they would deserve a denied claim.
I agree with every single sentiment above.

The FUD that spews regularly from Mark11 and FlexRex is quite impressive.

2018 Civic Si, knock count going through the roof. Counted 1008 on a 30min drive. Car occasionally goes into limp mode. Car only knocks on startup, any throttle input less than 5-10%, and at idle with the air off. Any throttle over 5-10% is perfectly fine, no knocks or misfires even at WOT throttle. Knock Control doesnt move off of .49 which is normal. Ignition is normal too. What I don't understand is how it can misfire and knock under light load but not under full throttle. I'm currently running factory map and its still happening, was running TSP Stage 1 on KTuner V2. So this is an issue with the car, whether or not the tune caused a failure, it is not a tuning issue considering its still happening on factory map.

Try changing your spark plugs. I had the exact set-up and symptoms as you. I will quote my fix. I have 67K miles on these.

I got the new plugs in, no knocks! Read the logs as well looks great. I got lucky not to have worse damage. Taken off in order, 1 closest to driver, 4 being the furthest.

Mark11 and FlexRex sitting in a tree...
They say a tune is bad for me...
First a blown engine and then a CVT...
And guaranteed no warranty!

Same old song different thread.
