I had an odd one happen to me the other day, has anyone else ever had this?

Car locked while out shopping. Return to car, open trunk by using button on trunk lid, load trunk, close. Then walk to front door, touch door handle does not unlock. Try using buttons on key fob, no response from vehicle. Walk around, see that the 4-ways are on solid - no blinking, just solid on. Wait a minute, condition remains the same, use physical key to unlock door manually, car alarm starts sounding. Use key fob to press start button, vehicle starts, everything works again.

Anyone ever had something similar?

Yes! had a customer car come in with the same issue. Honda does know about the issue and we have had to replace the BCM (body control module). Time to make a trip up to the dealer. Honda hasn't released a fix officially but if the tech does call the tech line that is where they want to start. Ive been told there may be a software update in the future, and replacing the BCM may only be a temporary fix and the issue may return.

It has happened to me several times. I just use the key when it does.
