Hello just picked up a 2016 EX-L. was looking at some 18 inch wheels. What size do you guys recommend?
18x8.5 or 18x9.5? and issues rubbing on 18x9.5? and tire sizes?

i plan to lower about an inch, not sure what springs yet. Any reccommendations?

Thank you!

Stock tires and wheels for the Sport and Si models are 235/40-18 on 18x8 wheels with a +50 offset. Type-R has 245-width on 20" wheels (I'll have to look for the other specs). Use that as a starting point, then go here to see how other sizes and offsets would compare:

(I'm starting to think that we need a "will it fit?" sticky thread)

8.5 is no problem, I ran them with 30+ offset.

9.5 you'll be pushing it, and will highly depend on the offset how much of a headache you will have.

It all depends on offset, but you'll have better luck with an 18x8.5 +30ish

I have the same question. My car is lx.
Is it okay if I install Si's OEM rims(18x8) and same size tires(235/40R18) on my lx?
I am worried about if the si's rims are too heavy for my lx affecting its start?
Does anyone have the experience about that?
Thanks

They'll work fine. You may be able to quantify how much slower the Si's rims make your car if you do some timed runs at the dragstrip, but otherwise, you won't notice much. They'll be good to go (and the extra tire width is nice to have, too).

They're the same rims that are on the Sport and Sport Touring hatchbacks anyway, and those aren't any more powerful than your LX.
