Spent a couple hours adventuring through the wheel/tire thread on here last night, and am considering picking up wheels a bud has for sale! As far as I know, the stock Si wheels are 18x8 +55, the ones I'm looking at are 18x9.5 +35. Was wondering if anyone has done anything similar and if so, is there any rub, or issues you've came across? Thanks folks! :)

A 18x9.5 et35 is pretty aggressive. Depending what tire size you’re planning on running will determine what needs to be done. Some have gotten away with it stretching a 235/245 on to it and adding a little camber with some fender work. If you plan on remaining stock height it’ll just poke out around 3/4-1” more than stock depending on tire width.

I was intending to try to keep my 235/40/18's that the car came with. Having a toss up between wanting to change the appearance but not sacrifice handling dynamic/quality too much. I could probably roll my fenders a bit! Was planning on sticking to stock height, I find the car his just high enough to not scrape on driveways/get around in crap weather, but low enough to look nice!

You could stretch the 235s on there but it’ll be exposing the wheel lip more and not offering any curb protection. Also would lessen the fender work needed if any.
Honda Civic 10th gen Fitment question with the Si Coupe! 18x9.5 +35?? 3839DBCC-2D77-4B51-BCE9-76A110CC1A95

If handling and ride quality are a priority I’d go with something closer to factory width/offset to keep the oem suspension geometry. Tire rack is a good place to start. They have ridiculous markdown closeout deals on rims and tires from time to time. I’d start there. There are a few members that have tried on a 275/35/18 on a 18x9.5 but at et45 and not lowered.

Thanks! If you want a really good wheel that’s strong, lighter than oem, fits well, and won’t break the bank I suggest looking into the enkei RPF1. Hands down one of the best budget double duty track and street wheel. If budget isn’t a problem than look towards Volk TE37. One of the best forged wheels made.

Would there be any clearance issue on 18x9.5 +45?
I wonder! The 9.5s I considered buying ended up sold, damn good deal too, buddy was returning his car to stock to sell it and traded scuffed HFPs and like 200-300 bucks for a decent $1500 set of wheels in beautiful shape. I'm thinking 18x8.5 +35 is the best bet for me personally

9.5 +35 stock height with 235/40/18 tire doesn't rub (i've ran it before). I've ran the same setup lowered over 2" all around and experienced very slight rubbing on the liner in the fronts. I'm now on 9.5+15 wheels lowered 3" all around and run about 2.5 degrees camber in the front and it's all good with all fenders rolled.

They would be perfect! Dead flush depending on you tire size selection
Tryna run 235/40. Or 245/40. Which do you think is better? I’m on Eibach sportlines too, Si sedan. And will be switching to coilovers as soon as they become available on the market.

A 245 on a 9.5" rim would be a better fit and have a bit more meat as well... But a 235 would be a bit more stretched out and leave more room for running leass camber in the future?:hmm:

I just bought a 2017 Honda Civic si coupe. I’m on lowering springs but I’m wondering if (18 x 8.5 + 30 & Firestone Indy 500 245/40R18 ) will fit with our issue
