Different aftermarket air filter

My PRL 4 inch cone air filter appears to be pretty dusty/dirty. I have a clean Injen 4 inch filter but it's more of a straight cylinder shape rather than cone shaped like the PRL filter and it appears to be of a different material. If I swapped them out, would that cause any issues?

No, people do home made intakes with various air filters. Honestly the main thing is the maf and the tubing itself. You can pretty much use most brand filters.
