Summarizing all available hoods for the 10th Gen Civic...
will update as more products are located.
Please contribute suggestions to this body of knowledge.
If there is any manufacturer who does NOT want their product featured, or requires that any information be corrected, then please send me a PM and I will update your listing ASAP. Thank you!
Note: Civic Models interoperability
All 10th Civic hoods should be compatible between all models - Hatch, Sedan, Coupe with the following exception:
The FK8 Civic Type R (CTR) hood latches are located in a different position ... and while FK8 hoods should "fit" FC/FK vehicles... the user would need to address the latching in some way. This may require engineering/fabrication to the latch or latch mechanism and/or use of additional hood pins. Any modification will not be supported by manufacturers. Recommend users follow all manufacturer guidance at all times.
Also, note that hood pins may be required equipment on some aftermarket hoods, if they do not have the structural integrity to retain the hood via the hood latch alone. (e.g. If the latch rips out of your carbon hood while you are doing 70mph on the highway, bad things may happen...) Again you should follow all guidance provided by each manufaturer - manufacturers will document whether hood latches are sufficient or not.
Note: Construction
Please evaluate each product yourself regarding construction...
Some may be 100% (wet/dry) carbon, others may be FRP or a combination of the two.
Each product has pros and cons and one is not necessarily better than another in all cases.
Some products may require painting while other products may be UV protected for exposed use.
FRP = a composite material comprised of carbon fiber reinforced polymers.
Any stated weight specifications are those provided from the manufacturer.
One should naturally expect some variance in these measurements vs. the product received.
Vented hoods may or may not offer Rain Protection or Mesh Screen inserts, as an included or optional extra.
