Since it's best and worst are you saying you like the eg hatch SI the best, and the newest SI almost beats the 9th gen for the worst?

Whoops I meant the em1,10th gen and late 9th gen I like the best..worst is early 2012 si because of road noise and oil consumption

What if you could only pick one favorite and not 3? Lol. I like the EM1 a lot myself but if someone offered me that or the FA/FG SI I don't think I'd be driving away in an EM.

What the hell is with the necro threads lately... 9th gen wasn’t that bad, I had a 2012 and loved it, not to mention that I smoked EVERY 8th gen I came up against. That being said Gen X is WAY better than 8th or 9th in every respect stock vs stock. With the turbo, tuned, nothing can touch what we have now.

I really like my current SI, a 2017 coupe. My previous one, a 2013, was less powerful ( 201 hp, 170 tq ) but only 170 whp, 140 wtq on a dyno and it was heavier.
The one before, a 2009 , was even less powerful ( 197 hp , 139 tq ). Of course, it ran fast ( 8000 t/mn ) and gave the impression of power, but it was noisy and less well equiped,
With the turbo engine, you can easily increase power at low costs, without having to change internal parts.
That's why many of us have modified our engines and have fun driving fast !

In my opinion, the 2004 Si was the worst. I've driven many Si's over the years and that was the most awkward civic ever. Shifter almost on the dash, clunky looking body, shitty handling. I've loved every Si except that one. Played with many CRX Si back in the day and those were my favorites for many years. You could swap a motor in those in a few hours. I've been a mechanic for almost 20 years and driven many cars. When I drove the new Si I feel in love with the Si all over again. 10th gen is in my opinion the best Civic Si ever built. I've only owned mine for a few weeks, out a few hundred miles on it, but I'm probably never going to sell this car.
