I've been reading some comments that sounds alarming. The build quality on the UK built hatches are not that great, body panel gap issues, rubber moldings not lining up, interior gaps and paint quality. Can anyone chime in?

I own a 17 sport hatch and everything on my car is perfect. I have experienced none of those problems with mine.

Other than one rattle from the front left pillar mine is fine, and it's got 11k miles on it.

i am a tech at my dealer and i can only think of one new civic hatch that has come in with a "build quality" complaint. this particular car had some dash rattles-ended up replacing the trim around the dash cluster

On the same page with other commenters. I figure out a lot about a car just by washing it. I have not noticed any body panel gaps/issues, paint looks consistent especially for a WOP hatch, and only issues I've had are the rattles in the left A pillar, top right passenger door, and arround the vanity mirror.

17 Sport Hatch here as well. No issues for the 6 months, 6,000 miles on her. Almost hate to trade it in for the CTR, but I will get over it. ;-)

If you are counting the R as a hatch: Have a rattle in the dash at low RPMs sometimes and it seems the weather stripping is not fully aligned as I hear a whistle at highway speeds sometimes and an annoying noise from somewhere on the left side of the car that is driving my OCD nuts because I have zero idea where it is coming from. I keep thinking it's from the door not being shut all the way or something but that's not the case. Maybe just weather stripping somewhere is not correctly installed and causing these. Either way I'm going insane when I have my radio off as OCD makes it 10x worse.

Rattles, ticks, buzzes, squeaks, whistles...those are the stuff of nightmares to me. Of the eight new Hondas I've bought since 2006, my 2017 Civic Si is the tightest and most unwanted noise-free so far. My 2017 Ridgeline RTL-E wins the award for the most ticks and buzzes. :(

Is this another attempt at warning people and swaying them from purchasing a CTR? ;)

No issues with Mrs. GM3's 17 hatch as of yet, but she only has 2000+ miles so far.
