  1. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Are we talking about throttle response as far as making it a better daily driver? That's what's holding me back from the 1.5R tune. See I have Early Spool, Aggressive Throttle Response, Aggressive Ramp Rate, etc. all the way up on the 21 end user map. I don't mind only having to push the...

...the car tuned? If so, go ahead and return your car to the factory map and unlock the unit. At that point, give the new owner your unlocked KTuner and your tune files. Then they can upload the KTuner software to their PC, lock the unit, register it with KTuner and flash the tune back to the car.

...that can completely bypass the ECU check that we have in CA. I also haven’t been able to find someone with the same vehicle year and model to flash vins and pass my car. It’s been a hassle. With the STREET MAF, I’m going to flash back to the stock tune, and get my car passed. Not worried...

...on the list. excited to feel the RV6 FK8 / Exedy clutch going in. And to not slip again. Interesting my tuner (Dan at E-Tunez) suggests I re-flash revision 7 for the new block and clutch. And immediately send him to logs. Obviously without WOT pulls. In addition to the new block, flywheel /...

...maintenance I actually just leave it tuned. But, if anyone is going to a dealer to diagnose a drivetrain issue or doing any sort of warranty work, flashing to stock and unlocking your tuning device from the PCM/ECU is definitely smart. @arpypat thanks for posting the heads up in this thread.

...ECU that my Ktuner is not paired to anymore... To anyone out there that brings their car in for diagnosing an issue, I urge you to not only flash your factory tune back on, but to also completely unpair/unlock your Ktuner from your ECU. My Ktuner is a now a paperweight. Had to pay Ktuner...

...is a great daily. 1.5R feels a tad bit weaker, but the 24PSI is still a total blast. If I know I'm going to be doing some freeway pulls I may flash the stage 2, but the 1.5R is much smother and definitely a better daily tune, it really opens the vehicle up and is an absolute blast...

...the sensation it was like the car wasn’t getting the gas required to keep moving) very common after a brake or after a speed bump but after a reflash to see if this problem occur in stock flash (which it didn’t) the problem seems to be gone - any thoughts are welcome Driving style: Pretty...

...($80, even tho I got it for free with my Ktuner), but it may just not be for my needs right now. Definitely will give the TSP some more time before deciding if I want to flash back or not. Overall though, I'm happy I bought the Ktuner. Like many others on here said, it feels like a brand new car!

@Ctran249, let's talk about the stock tune. Basically it sucks. It's laggy. Decent enough for an econobox but combined with the CVT it's 100% "meh". Then you get a KTuner 21 and you can hardly believe it's the same car. Most of the lag and hesitation feeling is gone. From a stop around...

...and then TSP 1. Since I do drive locally a lot more now.. I feel the difference more with Ktuner's over the TSP. I don't think I drive at the point where you get the full benefits of TSP's tune enough. So with that, I think I will flash back to Ktuner's. Anyone else feel that way with the TSP...

I just got my Ktuner but I'm waiting (not for long, phearable have been very fast so far) for my 1.5 tune. If I charge my battery at the same time as I flash base tune, and let's say tomorrow I reflash did I will kill my battery lol?

...the main reason why I'm even considering getting ktuner as I kept thinking before "it's a CVT why would I spend money tuning it?" I've watched a few vids on flashing the ECU with TSP, but after it says flash successful. Do I need to tinker with any settings with the actual car or is it good...

...notes: Tuned during my lunch break at work lol. I did some research and made sure both my car and my laptop were plugged in during the flash. Throttle response 1 feels really good and subtle so far. Low speed maneuvers are still very doable, but the car feels really eager to go like when you...
