Hello guys, I have a Honda Civic touring 2016 and I don’t know if this is the real fuel consumption of the car but in highway I’m having Max 35.5 MPG and don’t talk about city, do you know that is correct or I have a problem, what do you recommend any tip or part to check.....

Oil life 40%
wheels good condition and pressure
Always use premium fuel 93 octane

help please.

Only time I use eco anymore (if at all) is if I’m on a long drive on the highway. Some have mentioned on here that eco at times can cause you to use more gas because of throttle response. You have to push the pedal down more, for longer to get up to speed, which in turn causes you to use more gas.

but honestly, 35 average mpg is pretty decent. My hatch is probably mid-low 34 mpg.

Is that 2.0 engine or 1.5 turbo?

If it's 1.5 turbo, I think your consumption seems fine. The lowest I ever got with manual transmission on a full tank was 6.79 l/100km which converts to 34.6 MPG and the average after 10k miles is 32.4 MPG (7.25 l/100km). Mind you that this is calculated by hand, my onboard computer always shows around 0.3 l/100km too low. Most of my driving is done on highways, followed by open roads and almost none real city driving (=at slow speeds between traffic lights).

OP, your number is fine. Right now I'm only averaging about 32-33 mpg on 60% highway

Best MPG ever, via instant reader (not dash) was like 51mpg. Full tank's range usually reads over 450+ mi. Also, that Eco button is total BS.. forces you to bury your foot to get a normal takeoff and that (itself) eats into your MPG's. When on takeoff, stay @ near 3k RPM's until you get the speed you want and back off, set cruise control, whatever.. you'll see some decent improvements.
