*Disclaimer I do no know much about tire sizes etc.

I can't seem to find anything on the internet (nor has the dealer been much help) that will tell me whether my old winter tires with rims that are 195/65R15 which were installed on my old 2008 Honda Civic Sedan EX will work with my 2017 Honda Civic Sedan LX. Also want to know if this will cause any extraordinary wear or tear if I do.

Everyones help would be much appreciated!

I might be wrong, but 15s might not clear braking system, your might get lower too, your best bet is just try them and figure out

15” is fine. My sister has a ‘16 sedan with 15” steel wheels on for the winter.

195 width should be fine, as it’s narrower than the stock size tires. Consider the hatch, which even has 235 width tires on the Sport and Sport Touring trims. I went down to 205 width and 16” from 18” for my winters - reusing my steelies and winter tires from my ‘06 TSX, which are a perfect fit, and didn’t have to spend any money for a new set for my Sport Touring hatch.
