Hands free link phone calls

New member here and first time Honda owner. Everytime I go to make a call, it defaults to the phone speaker and asks if I’d like to use the hands free link feature. Is this a common issue? Any help would be appreciated!

I think if you initiate the call from the car's user interface, it'll default to the hands free bluetooth. If you initiate from the phone, it'll default to the phone speaker (at least it operates this way in my LX).
