Here’s something you don’t see everyday: A snow bank moulded to look like a car parked on the side of the road. What prompted Simon Laprise, a machinist from the city of Montréal in the Québec province, to take four hours to construct such a sculpture? His intent was to confuse the parking enforcement officers, as vehicles are not allowed to be parked overnight on the streets in many Canadian cities. This is to avoid hindering snow removal efforts.
The snow is formed intricately enough to resemble a snow covered sports car, complete with window indents and even a bump for the wipers. Not one, but two Dodge Charger police cars showed up to the scene to investigate the “car”, presumably believing it to be an actual vehicle illegally parked on the road.
The officers on the scene did wind up leaving Simon a ticket - But not for a fine. Rather, they left a message that said “You made our night hahahahaha ”. It has since been destroyed by snow plows.
There has been much speculation as to what the vehicle may have been shaped after, but the general consensus is the it resembles a DeLorean DMC-12, the car made famous in the Back To The Future movie series. Others have pointed out that the rear looks like a Toyota Celica Supra. Have an idea of what else it may be? Drop your guess down in the comments.
Update from the creator: This is not based on any one vehicle, but rather a mix of 1980 - 1990s sport coupes. Think of it as a Grand Theft Auto vehicle if you will, with inspiration from multiple sources.
