Last night, I got quoted $27,853 for a '19 Civic Hatch Sport Touring - which the dealer showed me was the invoice price (He showed me a document that looked to be an invoice receipt).

That price is not too far off from the invoice price listed on CarGurus ($26,692). Do invoice prices vary by location maybe? I'm in Los Angeles. I'll see if I can whittle the price down to CarGurus' number, but I'm curious to know if my quote is already competitive.

Thanks!

Jimmy,
For a 2019 Hatchback Touring $27,612 is the priced listed as invoice which includes the $920 destination charge ($26,692 + $920). Costco pricing on that car should be $800 off invoice plus add-ons if the dealer does them. Dealers that are part of the Costco program will not give out the price unless you come in to verify membership. Whether you have a membership with Costco or not you should be able to do better than that. I paid 21,500 for my 2019 Hatchback EX which is 6.4% below invoice from a non-costco dealer. The dealerships get holdback cash from Honda and other incentives that allow them to sell below invoice but they will never tell you that. Ask dealer for a written offer that he quoted you via email then use Edmunds.com where you can see invoice prices. It will give you the option to build with options then it will send offers out to local dealers. Once you do that your phone/email will blow up. Tell them your lowest offer and tell them to beat it via email. Took me 5 days to narrow down to the lowest priced dealers. I did 95% of all this via email. Once I had a decent offer I wanted I sent a final email to the lowest priced dealers and told them I would be buying that night and to send final offers if they wanted my business. First dealer I test drove with beat offer, had a low doc fee, and also had no add ons. Just double check sales contract to make sure they do not add stuff that was not included in offer. Also do not buy extended warranty thru dealership. Search honda care pricing in the forums for help on that.
