Touchscreen glass replacement

I am in the process of swapping to the 7” touchscreen radio and the one I purchased online from LKQ has a lot of scratches on the screen. I found a replacement glass online. Has anyone replaced this before?

No experience with this screen, but a lot of experience with other types of screens. Generally, if the LCD is not included and you're buying just a digitizer, it'll be a miserable experience. Try to find an LCD already laminated to the digitizer, it'll make for a cleaner/simpler/easier installation.

That being said, maybe this just drops in. It's odd that there's double sided tape on it, so maybe it sits a ways off the screen. I'll have a look at mine later today and see how it comes apart.

It reminded me of the older iPhone glass replacement parts like in the 3GS or 4. No doubt it seems like a big pain to replace. I briefly looked at mine and wondered how I’d even get it disassembled enough to maybe take light heat and some pry tools to get it loose.
