Just ordered some new wheels finally for my SI :)18x9.5+40. Looked everywhere for pictures but only found a few with stock suspension with aggressive wheels.

Really not trying to lower my car... but would going 245/40 with stock SI suspension look too much?

My two paths are really:
1.) Stay stock and go 245
2.) Prokit and stay with 235

Either way... I’m really excited to see how these wheels look.. will post pictures when they are on.

Isn't that the width of the tire?

Yes, I’m basically deciding on staying same width and lowering it, or wider tire and keep the stock suspension.

I’m gonna go ahead and put the new wheels on and decide then.

I can tell you that you will be fine lowered on the Pro kit, whilst running a 245/40-18 on your 18x9.5", 40mm. I have Sportlines (more aggressive drop), same size tires, 18x9.5", 39mm. No rubbing at all.
