I don't see any rips. Looks like it just tucks in, but I could be wrong. Might take a look at the passenger side one because it's probably the same design.
It does tuck in I believe but I’m not sure how it does. Was hoping someone knows and could help me out.

Jk I'll help. Not all seats are the same but I think you need to pull that piece down, under then snap it in to a groove. If not it may need hog rings. Good luck.
