Ok I realize they have this seal "integrated" in there product development and I understand its intended purpose. Removing it has pretty drastically lowered my fuel trim. My long term trim has come from -2 to -4 to literally zero as of this morning. I have opened up a small area next to the cowl panel air inlet "vents" to help feed air to the air filter box. This made a solid improvement of decreasing inlet temps even quicker once the car starts moving.

I think my results are individual results with the "combo" of what I did.

If you are completely stock or not going to open up the radiator shroud any then leave this seal in place as it is very effective on the original factory airbox.

I have a feeling this little rubber gutter seal on all the cars will eventually start to close up and not function after miles are put on them.

Just wanted to share.
