Overhead Console - Door/Lock slider.

Can anyone tell me what the slider that says door & lock on it is on the overhead console.

It doesn't seem to change anything that I can notice by having it in one position or the other.

Leave it in the door position and the interior lights illuminate when you open the 4 doors. Leave it on off and they will never turn on when you open the foors.
