Next Gen R with hood vent

Pics of next gen R. You can see that the vents are for extracting heat rather than the weird partially functional hood scoop we have.

Unless of course it’s all yet another fake vent, I don’t know.

But let’s say it’s legit. If so that is pretty good signal for aftermarket hoods with this design. Must be the way to go for this car.

I for one would like to see some serious cooling in the next gen car maybe in the form of multiple coolers. Time will tell.

Our center hood vent is for aero, not cooling. The engine layout is not configured where cooling would benefit from the top side.

Hard to tell from the camo shots, but the next edition of the CTR seems fairly bland, sort of following BMW's journey to the dull side.

Top side cooling vent is exactly where aftermarket hoods have the vents and it’s been proven on track to benefit.

Also will preface it by saying it “helps”, but is not the answer to cooling on the track. If there is one for our cars…
