Hello everyone,

I just purchased the Metal Door Sill Protectors in the picture attached. Does anyone have them installed already in their CTR? I would like to hear comments on fitment, functionality, and looks and would like to see pictures, if available. Thanks and you all have a nice day.

I have them. The are more decorative than protective. If your worried about someone dragging their feet over the sills these won’t protect your paint. I suggest installing clear protective film first and put these on top. I like the look but again there is little protection.

Thank you for the pictures and the comment. I don’t need much protection. It’s basically for my three year old daughter. She can’t really get in the car without putting her foot on the door sill. Do you think this will help for that? I help her get in the car most of the time but she’s quick sometimes and wants to get in before I can help her in.

I would use clear film to protect the sills if I had a three year old. My youngest is 22 but what I remember their a little unpredictable at that age. Hope that helps.

I appreciate it. Would definitely use the clear film then.

Sorry to bother you, but, can you tell me the length of both the front and rear protectors? Looking into buying the film and would like to know how long I should buy it.

Rear protectors are 12”, fronts are 21.5” long. If you get a 6’ roll of film from amazon your should be fine. I would get some paper and make a template, cut the film from the template and install. If you have never install film before find a tint place and tell them what you want done. It’s not hard but if you ruin your film trying to install it you might wish you paid someone. See the link for potential film. They sell several types and several dimensions. Size will depend on what you want to protect. Good luck!

I have the Mugen protectors, and like others have said it is more decorative. The thing covers such a small area.
