Is it possible to fit 4 wheel and 4 tires separately in rear hatch of Type R? Stacked?

Trying to see if its possible to fit set of 4 wheels and set of 4 tires separately in the rear hatch of type r. Going to get tires mounted onto new wheels and need to know if all 8 will fit. Tires will be tied together in pairs, I could also separate these but prefer not to.

FWIW I was able to fit 4 245 tires in the trunk vertically, but I dont think anything wider would fit.

You mean you stacked 4x 245 tires vertically from floor to roof, or did you lay them on the side from door to door? If you did vertically that means I could prob have 4 stacks of 2? Wheel tire, wheel tire, or wheel wheel , tire tire

I was able to fit 4 wheels with 235/35-19 tires and a second set of tires the same size in mine

Yes, I have done it twice. I also had the tires strapped together in pairs. I put the tires in first, sidewall down, so they are snug against the seats, and then just loaded the boxes with the wheels. It was not very difficult either time.

18" wheels with 245/40 tires the first time and 255/40 tires the second time.

It looks pretty funny in there, but yes it can be done.

Don't be like me though and cover up each wheel...it gets messy fast back there
