CarPlay phone call ring volume

I too have the same carplay ringer volume problem. I almost suffered a heart attack the first time it rang very late one night!

This nearly blew my ear drums out. I can't believe there is not a solution to this. I'm so hesitant to even plug my phone in to the jack now.

I've simply been lowering the volume on my phone before hooking it up to the car's USB port. That seems to work for me. Give it a try!

Does anyone know if Apple or Honda have released an update for this yet? So far the workaround of constantly adjusting the volume is getting old. My last car never had issues with phone calls like this, even while running car play.
