Good news! It looks like the 2016 models were added to the warranty extension.
My 2016 Civic Touring’s A/C died this past summer and I knew about the warranty extension for the 2017 models and newer. I was puzzled as to why the 2016 models were not included. Now under campaign # P53, it is.
i tried to find this issue but no luck.
I have a 16 touring sedan and I'm hearing some sound from the HVAC that sounds like girgling or dried leaves rustling. It does this with either Econ mode on or off. Is this just a normal sound that the A/C compressor makes cycling on? While idling this...
Just an infotainment glitch. Has nothing to do with the snow. Here's the thread on that one. http://www.civicx.com/threads/tpms-abs-brake-system-acc-freak-out.1002/
The heated seats are designed to heat when remote starting. Mine does. Keep in mind, if the temperature outside is 4C or warmer, the seats will not heat, nor will the mirrors defrost or the rear window. Also if you get inside your car while it's still running remotely, the LED indicator lights...
My touring started beeping for the first time too. I had my iPhone plugged in to charge while listening to the radio. Without touching the screen or the phone, it beeped and switched to the home screen. I was able to switch screens for a second then it would switch to the home screen again and...
My passenger side mirror just cracked too. I may have an explaniation as to why mine cracked. I washed my car when the temperature was -4C and overnight the temperature dropped to -20C. So I'm assuming the freezing water expanded between the glass and the housing causing the glass to crack...
1/2 inch domes worked for me. I found if I placed mine at the top of the brake light, they didn't touch the glass. The gap between the glass and the plastics brake surround gets tighter as you move down the sides of the surround towards the bottom of the glass. Don't forget to stuff socks or...
For me, I find the faster the fuel is pumped, the more likely it spills when the auto-stop is triggered. On fast pumps, I slow down the pump and don't have problems of fuel spillage. Pretty simple concept to me. :dunno:
ATTN DO-IT-YOURSELF ERS,
In order to properly fix the sub rattle, you have to insulate the plastic rear deck from the top (brake light to rear window) and the bottom (plastic deck to the metal deck). Doing one or the other will not work. You have to do both.
You can use the wedge to insulate...
My socks are still holding up fine. You gotta cram those socks in there pretty tight though. I also used some sorbothane bumper domes between the brake light housing and the rear window. If you don't use the sorbothane, plastic brake housing will rattle against the rear window. It's been...
I wouldn't have put oil in it. You should have had it towed to the dealer. Might have a harder case to fight now that you've added oil. Good for you to shut it off right away though.
