Dang! Glad I got my 2021. Everyone told us to wait it out for next generation. I did a lot of research calling every dealer that had one in. Ended up best deal was six hours away. $1500 over MSRP wasn’t bad. Some of these dealers fell and bumped their heads.

There are few if any cars, at any price, that do everything the Type R does. that is why it is worth the trouble to get one.
Because, more frequent tire purchases aside - once you do get your Type R - it is no trouble.
And you will not be cursing lack of storage, rear leg room, or the seats which are God's gift to long drives and corners, You will smile when you see your mileage or insurance rates. Or resale value.
I paid $ 35K - used - for my 2018. It now has 30,000 more miles and three years more age. And is still worth every dime I paid and more. So, less than zero depreciation. Hard to argue with that.
Are there other cars out there I would love to drive? Yes! Own? Not so much.

I’m actually thinking of selling mine 2019 CW Type R. It only has 9,200 miles on it. First owner. With work, family and especially the snow, the car gets use 3 months out of the year.
