Highly unlikely we'll see any powertrain changes through MY 2020.

AHM had to campaign pretty hard to get this version of the Si, in the configuration we have now. The problem is that Honda doesn't really have an efficient TCDI powertrain in the 210-250 HP range at the moment. The 1.5T would probably be too high strung for Honda's durability requirements, and the 2.0T too inefficient for their fuel economy targets.

While the vocal minority many not care about efficiency, Honda unfortunately does. I am thinking any future powertrain improvements (whatever they are) will be shared with the next gen ILX that should debut in a couple years.

i think the 9th gen si was a bit better than "meh vtec" it wasnt as good as the 8th gen "good" vtec, but definitely better than meh. now the 7th gen si turn was a definite MEH, actually even worse than meh. that shit was like negative meh.

although it was that bad in my base rsx i had but it still wasnt good.
