  1. Heated Side Mirrors

False, you can always turn the defroster on. They will automatically turn off off after 10-30 minutes depending on the outside temperature. However, if the outside temperature is below freezing, then it will stay on. Per page 169 of the 2017 Civic service manual. Source...
  2. A/C Noise

Why not? It’s not like Honda has left us with many options. What are you going to do when your extended warranty runs out? Keep paying out of pocket to replace expensive a/c parts? R134a works.
  3. A/C Noise

For those of us not experiencing a leak, please read the following. It seems evacuating all the R1234yf and replacing it with R134a may improve the reliability, and possibly get rid of the noisy hissing sound from the expansion valve! I’ve seen reports that our cars are compatible with R134a...
  4. 2016-2018+ Honda Civic AC (Air Conditioning) System Issue

It seems like evacuating all the R1234yf and replacing it with R134a may improve the reliability, and possibly get rid of the noisy hissing sound from the expansion valve! I’ve seen reports that our cars are compatible with R134a. It’s also much cheaper, and cools better than R1234yf. A guy on...
  5. A/C system noise/whistling - lets sum all the information pals

I’m back, so it seems like evacuating all the R1234yf and replacing it with R134a may improve the reliability, and possibly get rid of the noisy hissing sound from the expansion valve! I’ve seen reports that our cars are compatible with R134a. It’s also much cheaper, and cools better than...
  6. 1234yf refrigerant contaminated with r134a

According to this guy, he's had no issue with r-134a in his Civic for several years.
  7. Driver's side passenger door misaligned

Mine is messed up too. Honda said take it to a body shop.
  8. Extended Extended Honda Care

I don't think you can get another Honda Care plan. Try looking for a good extended warranty company. Here's a good place to start, https://www.marketwatch.com/guides/car-warranty/best-extended-car-warranty/ .
  9. Do I dare go another winter with original battery? (2018)

Battery fumes are toxic, I hope you have an AGM Battery (which doesn't release fumes) if it's inside the cabin. You should do a visual inspection of your battery, I bet the terminals are corroded.
  10. Do I dare go another winter with original battery? (2018)

Is the battery leaking acid or anything? Are the terminals corroded? Is the voltage okay? Weak battery can damage an alternator. If any are true, might be best to replace now.
  11. AC condenser replaced then the problems started.

I'd have that car back with the dealer yesterday. Please make them fix this. The longer you wait, the more likely they are to blame you for the issue.
  12. Poll: Remote Start Range

I just replaced the battery in my fob tonight, hoping it helps with range. No low power alert. The battery is about 18 months old, so maybe it's just weaker.
  13. Warranty Extension A/C Compressor Shaft Seal Leak

At this rate, Honda will eventually cover the evaporator. Honda is getting a lot of pressure regarding this issue.
  14. Civic AC heading for lawsuit?

The new condenser part per the Civic Type-R warranty extension, Service Bulletin 21-014, should be part 80100-TGN-G02. It looks like they gave you the old part, 80100-TGN-G01. I'd ask them why they didn't give you the latest revision per Service Bulletin 21-014. Maybe they made a mistake...
  15. Civic AC heading for lawsuit?

That doesn't look like a Honda part number, and a Google search yields no results. I don't think that's the official part number, maybe something your dealer is using internally. I wouldn't be surprised if that's an alias, because Honda doesn't want people to know they're getting the same bad...
  16. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Today, I installed yellow fog lights, white reverse lights, and white vanity mirror lights. All LED. Fogs Lights are Sealight XF1-H11 Yellow: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087TKXK38?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Reverse Lights are AUXITO 921 (white)...
  17. Farewell ... it has been a wonderful ride

Congrats! I wish you the best!
  18. Civic AC heading for lawsuit?

The new condenser assembly part is probably 80100-TBC-A02. I've seen some suspicion that Honda changed the part number without actually fixing the issue.
  19. NEW AC CONDENSER LEAKING TSB 19-091

This is absolutely crazy!! You'd think the government would step in at this point and fine Honda. Are these parts even recyclable? What about the effect on the environment? Also, the burden on Honda consumers needs to be investigated.
  20. Civic AC heading for lawsuit?

Happy for you. Personally, I'll need to see some evidence that the manufacturing process has been improved and replaced parts are free of defects. I don't trust the reliability. I've already heard people needed to get their 10th gen civic A/C system fixed multiple times (see example #303 ).
