Yes they consume much less power but they get so hot (On the LED chip level) and if not cooled properly they will die prematurely. So, either they use a fan or a conductive material to move out the excessive heat. I have seen many LED projectors with cooling Fans on them. :)

Yes that's what it seems like. It may also happen that the projectors features some MAGLEV fans. I have seen some BMW Led headlights with fans from DELTA. Otherwise, i don't see how Honda is able to cool properly those FULL LED projectors that are hermetically sealed.

I want to get your confirmation about the presence of a cooling fan on the LED headlights projector of the touring models. In fact, the presence of an active cooling system may increase the lifespan of the LED projectors. Have you ever noticed the presence of a fan on those LED projectors ?
