The short answer is no, intake, exhaust, etc. will not void anything but the warranty specific to those parts (i.e. the air box). The longer answer is that if you mod other things and something goes wrong, it is up to the dealership to prove that what you modded directly caused the problem at...
My only gripe with my Sport is the head unit. However, seeing as I’m getting an Alpine unit that puts the Infotainment screen on the higher trims to shame, I can’t complain about much with it. Will post pics after install on Fri.
Yeah, I thought about that too. My hope is that they would see two employees (the tech and the salesman) giving me information to run on. However, I think if push came to shove, Honda would pull something along the lines of "even though so and so told you this, that's just not the case...". I...
Guys, I am ready to get either Hondata or KTuner. I am leaning towards Ktuner, but heres the catch: I have an email from my salesman stating he spoke to a service tech about Hondata and stated in the email that Hondata will not void my warranty because it is backed by Honda. Obviously this is...
Is the sound you hear when shifting coming from the shifter area itself and is it a pronounced “thud” sound? Get Hondata or Ktuner for more power and rev hang issues. The only issue I have with mine is the radio, but I believe you can go to a reputable audio shop and they can replace it. I...
That’s great to hear, actually. I wonder why people haven’t come out with better systems, knowing how popular the civic platform is, but at least this gives us hope!
If you can direct me to a non “Phoenix android made somewhere in China and lasts about four months” head unit that is reliable and has Apple CarPlay/android auto and fits the LX/Sport, I’ll show you a unicorn. Be happy with what you have, trust me.
Yeah, at least you guys have somewhat modern tech. My damn Sport makes me feel like I’m in the early 2000’s. Seriously don’t understand Honda’s thinking behind it. At first it didn’t bother me, but now it’s a pain in the rear. I’d gladly take a slow, glitchy infotainment any day.
Silly question but a KTuner that will fit a 2016+ 1.5t will fit the Sport......right @KTuner? Stupid eBay says the part won’t fit but I think I know better.
This. Our stock system flows extremely well. If you’re looking for sound, go right ahead, but don’t expect to see any power gains. Personally I wouldn’t do a muffler delete, but then again it’s your car. As to your warranty question, the short answer is that it won’t void it.
I own the hatch and couldn’t agree more. I drove the Si and the “difference” wasn’t enough for me to upgrade. I prefer the Si’s interior, but I can live without infotainment. Besides, the styling of the hatch beats the hell out of the Si. It’s a shame Honda didn’t make the hatchback the Si and...
I really want a Ktuner but am still a little wary on voiding the warranty. From what I know/hear, it’s the absolute best bang for buck (much more power and torque than a stock Si), but we really don’t know how “safe” it is in the long run. Every other bolt on is *almost* useless without a tune...
