Just got my second oil change. This was my second service since I purchased the car. I know you can't tell by just looking at the oil, but the tech said it was still a very nice colour and viscosity. I'm at 25,000 km / 18th months of ownership.

Anyone else getting similar service intervals? I'm loving it.

I am at 5000 miles and the oil life still says 70%. I'm guessing I can go 10,000 miles before my first oil change. Of course, it is mostly highway miles. But on my older Civic, doing the same driving, I would have to change it every 7,500 miles.

I'm at 6000 miles and at 60% left on mm. I took the dip stick out and felt the oil. It feels "normal" and will make it to the mm, but I'm going to change every 10,000 miles instead of the 12,000 that I would get to.
In a gas vehicle, you can get a good guess with the color, and feeling it.

I change my oil twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring, no matter what the percentage indicates for the oil.

That's a good way of never forgetting. Same schedule as the HVAC filter at home.

First oil change at 4,000 miles, service maintenance required on the dash, oil is 15% good.
Car run only on short distance...

I just had my second oil change last week at 32000km with the mm still at 20%. My first oil change was done at 16000km with the mm at 15%. Took delivery of the car at the end of January 2016 with 6km on the odometer, first was done in October 2016, second done in may 2017. My commute is on mostly flat ground and all highway with two minutes of city driving and very little traffic.
At first I was uncomfortable going that far but I figured it's best to follow what honda recommends in the cars manual.

Holy, that's awesome - 16,000 km between oil changes! I was also a little uncomfortable at first, but ya, I'd trust Honda's recommendation above all else.
