Hi guys, I recently got a muffler delete on my 2.0 and it sounds just the way I wanted it to on the outside. Not too loud, not too quiet. The inside is a whole other story. The drone is honestly unbearable at 1.8k rpm, but when I cruise at like 2.2k it’s as quiet as stock. Any owners who did the same thing know of any solutions I can do to keep the same sound outside, but remove the interior drone? Thanks.

The muffler’s job is to eliminate drone unfortunately. Maybe adding a smaller vibrant one or something of that sort could help…another option could be adding some sound deadening??

Try a vibrant resonator in place of the midpipe, it eliminated the drone I had on my old setup.

By the mid pipe do you mean the resonator?

It quiets the car down a bit but it wakes up when you do a pull. The idle is noticeably more quiet, idle sounds stock. And i had a custom exhaust made for me so you need to make sure you get a resonator has the same diameter as the rest of your exhaust.
Thanks for the info, I will definitely be looking into it.

Did you figure out what size vibrant resonator you need? Or the ultra quiet vibrant resonator something like that. I got a prl hvdp and fp from on a 1.5t cvt and I wanna muffler delete as well but don’t want drone

Yeah it should be the 2 inch inlet and outlet one

For stock piping I currently have a 2.25'' so for the vibrant resonator, is it normal for us to purchase a bigger one to fit in and weld on? aka getting a 2.5''?
