Hey everyone, just bought a new Si Sedan. Love the car.

Just noticed the other night while I was in the garage I opened the drivers door and no interior lights turned on. Also, the map lights were inoperable until I opened the left rear door (just the closest door I could check).

I had the key in my pocket, and the door switch by the rear view mirror was set to "DOOR" and not "OFF" (not my first Honda, I know how this works).

If I opened any other door, the map and dome lights turn on, and then fade out after the door is shut (per the prescribed time listed in the manual, or as adjusted in the head unit)

I'm thinking my driver's door switch in the door jam is broken. Anyone else ever seen this?

Update: Sensor is fine, but nothing is plugged into it. The end of the harness that connects to the sensor is down in the B-pillar somewhere. Must have been improperly pressed into the sensor's wiring receptacle.

I'll drag it to a local dealer to have them fix it if I can't fish it out.

You would think the lack of continuity would cause a problem.
