If it makes you feel better, I've owned mine for 2 years and until this post I completely never noticed it either.

Many vehicles seem to come with this feature nowadays. But I'm surprised they went with blue for some models of the Civic. I have a Sport, so mine's red, and I assumed all models had the red light.

I think it's handy. Just enough light to be able to see what you need to under it, without being distracting.
