hi everyone,

My wipers (Bosch icon) squeak only at the end of its stroke. It won’t squeak if it’s not raining too hard and won’t squeak if I use the windshield washer fluid. I’ve tried stoner’s, windex, dish soap, and meguire’s polish to polish the windshield a bit. Anyone have any tips I can try?

The rubber/silicon blades go hard over time, or may be already be hard when you buy them if they are old stock. You need new blades.... I don't think you will fix the issue by messing with the glass if it is already reasonably clean -- all that will do is mask the real cause of the problem -- vibration of the hardened wiper's rubber.

These wipers are brand new. I've even tried the michellin X-Ice from costco, they squeak even louder.
This is what they sound like in action

Problem solved.
Some light compounding got rid of the blurring and squeaking!

I'm not really a fan of compounding glass, but if it worked then hooray.
Should've tried a clay bar first. Also when wiper replacement time comes get silicone blades, as they last much longer and are much quieter.

Also a clay bar can sometimes remove the contaminants, i did that and added Rain X with some fresh wipers and it seems to work quite well.

Been using Griots Glass Sealant. I guess similar to RainX. Barely use the wipers.
