Old & new. I considered 17 or 18's but didn't want to affect the ride comfort at all. About to resume the long commute thing and I'm old so there you go. It's an LX but it corners better than anything I've ever owned including my '85 Firebird which BTW, was traded in on a 91 Civic.

Looks good even with the 16's. I had a '79 Trans Am I traded in for an '84 CRX, ironically.

Nice wheels. Enjoy your new ride! I bet those are a lot lighter than the stock steelies and Si-weighs-a-ton 18" wheels.

I must admit, my EX-T on 18" Si wheels handles like a go-cart at the expense of ride comfort and slight MPG hit.

I was looking for OEM wheels but couldn't find any at what I considered a reasonable price. These are Vision Cross and were $80 each at Discount Tire. Not high-end but I'm just running this car up and down the highway putting 400+ miles a week on it. They're still an adder in Kelly Blu Book.

I wanted a CRX but since I had a new born son, etc practicality dictated a DX hatchback. Stiil a great little car which was fun to drive.

Some advantages of steel wheels:
  1. Cheap
  2. Durable
  3. No one will steal them
I loved them on my last commuter. Never a concern about potholes, salt in winter, cheap hubcaps meant no scratches against any curbs. Plus the joy of knowing that I would never come back to find my car on blocks ;) And if anything did happen to them, they were only like $80 new and less from a junkyard/reseller.

That said, nice wheels, OP!

Those look great! I may end up getting the same ones as I am in a similar boat (old and commuter) and don't want to sacrifice comfort.
