Not looking forward to the reduction in performance..... necessary evil, winter sucks.I just swapped mine yesterday. 235/45R18 Michelin Cross Climates. Smoother ride but a huge change on handling.
We should be seeing those daytime temps around my area in about a month or so, that's when the winter setup goes on; 225/45R18 Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires on cheapo 18x8 wheels. I've ran this setup for 2 winters already and it works great.Remember it’s not about snow on the road, it’s temperature.
The recommendation is to swap to winter hoops when the temperature is at or below 7 Celsius or 45 Fahrenheit.
Summer compounds essentially turn to hockey pucks below the said temps drastically reducing performance.
Were these posted on craigslist in the mid-atlantic for $1100 coming off of a CW CTR? Saw them on there a couple weeks agoI installed my winter setup over the weekend. 18x8 w/ 245/40/18 Michelin Ice-X snow tires. Love how it turned out, not bad for a winter set up.
