I want to hardwire my Aukey dashcam with a 12V to 5V hardwiring kit and I want the camera to be on when the car is on. Which fuse spot am I supposed to use? Do I use the accessories (10V) fuse? I've seen people use the transmission fuse or one of the 20V fuses or one of the empty fuse spots. Does it make a difference?

It's my first time hardwiring a dash cam, so I'm new to this.

Slot #29 in your chart feeds the cigarette lighter (accessory power) supply. You could use an 'add a circuit' pigtail from that slot and it will be on only when the engine is running or when the car is in accessory mode.

Would both slot 1 and 29 be ignition controlled?
