The Wagner has an inner vane to direct the air evenly. Maybe all ICs have this feature dunno.

4D8AD50E-220B-441A-A142-C32075816A78.jpeg Wagner Intercooler vs Stock OEM. Originally ordered the HKS w/piping but after (3) months of waiting decided to switch to this instead. Price is about the same and people seem to be happy with Wagner on other platforms. It is important to note, the silver piping tips will sandwich the radiator once it’s installed. If contemplating an upgraded radiator, it may not be compatible with the Wagner if it is wider.

Also this inlet scoop that bolts to the front of the intercooler to capture a little extra air I guess.

Was a pain to install. Wouldn’t look forward to doing that again... but it’s in!

Removed the red striping along the bottom of the car. Much cleaner now. ;)

Applied some road warrior plus paint protection in preparation for a trip to North Ga from Tampa. It's kind of a matte finish and poorly applied but I secretly dig it. I'm thinking about getting a satin wrap. Either way, the front end is protected.

Nice. Did you apply with a brush or roller? Which size (8-oz, 16-oz) did you buy?

Hey mate - just a tip. Apply it SUPER THICK. Also - on your emblem. Good luck getting it off there - it's a nightmare. However, it gives amazing protection. Just remember, put on like 6 coats on EVERYTHING, or else is SUCKS to take off. Please mask off the seams, as well, because it will seep in there and is tough to take off.

A single 8oz bottle will be fine for the front end of the Type R. Apply it super super thick. Like 6+ coats so it peels off easier. I didn't do this, and well, it sucks.

I got the 16oz kit and used the included roller to apply.

Appreciate the tip. I applied all of one bottle so far. I'm thinking I've got 3-4 coats on already. Should I slap the second bottle on it as well? I did not mask the seems but I didn't paint over them. I tried to leave a half inch untreated border on everything I coated, probably with mixed success. My emblem is already cracked in a few places so I'll need a new one soon anyhow.

I suppose peeling will suck to an extent but when I get back, I can let it sit in the garage until it's clean so I'll do it slowly over time if it presents itself a pain.

Overall I'm happy with the product for what it is and does as well as the cost. This was my first experience with it so I expect to be embarrassed by the outcome but I plan to do this for most (if not all) road trips going forward so I'll get better. Definitely appreciate the tips though!

Another couple tips. Don't try to peel it off when hot. Let the car cool completely and out of the sun. I let my car sit over night.

When it does come to peeling, have your hose on and actively flowing over it. It will help break the bond somehow and makes peeling super easy.

I had a dentist pick for getting around the emblem. Take your time when peeling and do whatever you can to take it off in a single sheet.

I got caught in a hard down pour at 70mph. Once I picked speed back up, my super thick wrap flew off the car.

The stuff is amazing and it doesn't leave anything behind when peeled.

Just the OEM parts were $210ish shipped. Mugen mirrors were about $230-240 shipped on top of that.

Thanks for clarifying...Do you know if this mod can be done using stock mirrors to just add outer housing blinker? $210 sounds pretty good if so...tia

There are no provisions for mounting the LED itself with the stock mirror housing. The only parts I changed from the stock mirror assembly is the housing and front trim (both come together with the part numbers I posted), everything else is reused/added to.

This link will give you a better idea...https://www.civicx.com/threads/diy-adding-turn-signal-lights-to-si-ex-side-mirrors.19619/

I've done a lot recently. I added Acuity Shifter Bushings, Mishimoto intake and got firehawks on my SSR Type C's. I took some photos.
