But if you tune it it will better the gains , its a nice piece .

Installed gold heat barrier tape on the entire airbox assembly and the intake tube over the turbo. Surprisingly I actually noticed improved response in the hot weather, especially after sitting in slow moving traffic!

Good job with the tape! That is time consuming to make it look good. I also did the Mishimoto Intake, intake pipe, DP, and DP heat shield. It does make a difference at lower speeds.Installed gold heat barrier tape on the entire airbox assembly and the intake tube over the turbo. Thanks for the kind words! I have gotten pretty good working with complex shapes doing Boss 302 Mustang intake manifolds at work!

Anything you can do to reduce heat in the intake tract will be beneficial. In the Mustang Boss 302 application I showed pictures of above just the heat barrier tape alone on the intake manifold runners improved power anywhere from 10-15 rwhp, a very worth modification! With the intake porting I performed the gains were 25-35 rwhp. at various points!i wonder if just taping the intake pipe alone will achieve the same result, great works n thanks for sharing!

Has anybody found black carbon fiber trim for the door pieces similar to the oem red carbon pieces that fit properly? I tried an eBay piece that said it would fit, but it was too big and went over the red trim and didn’t sit flush.

The brand for both of those applications is DEI. Very good quality and comes in either 1-1/2" or 2" widths.
