Good morning! New Year’s Eve I traded in my 2018 Aegean Blue Civic Sport for a 2020 Modern Steel Metallic Si. So far I love it! So much cool technology in it! Love everything about it so far. Noticeably quicker, especially in Sport mode. The midrange is great! So my Sport didn’t have a boost gauge in it, where of course this does. I know it’s supposed to make over 20 psi of boost, but it seems to top out at about 16 at most. Is this a normal thing? It’s got about 300 miles on it at this point and I’m starting to get a little deeper in the rev range. I find it odd that Honda advertises 20 psi but it comes in 5 psi short.

Hey thank you for the link! I searched the forums but didn’t find too much.

It’s all about the air condition where you live, temperature of the air, humidity, etc. you’ll rarely ever see it go above 17 psi in stock form.

There’s a chart somewhere on that linked thread above that shows the PSI maxes out at like 19.5 psi in the exact right conditions.

Some have said they see higher boost at 75-85% throttle as opposed to 100% WOT. Just know that it’s making more boost than the lower trim levels and enjoy.

Congratulations! Love the way your Coupe looks from that camera angle!
Is that from where you work? I'd be glancing out the window so much I wouldn't get any work done.

As others pointed out, that is normal. Stock I never saw more than 16 psi, and only briefly. I saw about 18 occasionally when I was tuned with TSP's Stage 1 tune

I've only ever seen 19 psi once. That being said, I waited longer than 300 miles to go looking for max boost.

Thanks! This is from my condo looking down at it.

I’m not hammering it, just starting to stretch it’s legs a little. I’m not too worried about it.
