Wave to other civic drivers?

So I used to drive jeeps a lot and there was a thing up until recently where you'd wave if you passed one going down the road. Is there something similar with Civics? I just got a 19 Sport sedan and was waved at 3 times today from other civic drivers
. If it's a thing I'll wave back but I've never heard of it before and it took me by surprise.

I will do this, but only to people that are part of the "community" i.e. have some kind of mods. It's a popular car, a lot of people drive them just because they're inexpensive and reliable. Unless they wave first.

Once in a while I’ll see a guy driving a sport hatchback (modern steel) on my commute to work we’re give each other a nod or a thumbs up

I drive an FRS and loved the wave I’d get from other drivers. I can say I’ve tried the wave but it always ends up being an older driver or someone random lol. I haven’t gotten something reciprocated yet.....

Too many CivicX here and most of the driver think the car as a transportation appliance. Id have done it if I drive a car-enthusiast only car.

I tend to flash the peace sign with other Si's or CTRs, it's always 50/50 they acknowledge or completely ignored, wont know till you try

There are a few type r drivers and a few sports I see all the time and we say hi to each other lol.

Nope for me - too many Civics 10th gen in Bangkok, I would look suspiciously like an idiot waving every few minutes

Even when I drove an Alfa, waving doesn't seem like a thing here in Bangkok.

The sentiment of this thread is correct. Wayyy too many Civic ‘Drivers’ our there. If I see some dude or dudette modded and staring then I’ll throw up the deuces - besides that I’m boosting by.

I could imagine Type R owners waving at each other.. or you know, starts racing each other out of nowhere. there is just wayyyyy too many Civics out there. last time i was sitting at a red light and I shit you not I realized there were 6 civics total. are we suppose wave at each other like weird al waving to the black dudes in "they see me rolling?" lol
