Buyers beware! Fake IC are showing up on eBay and are exact copies of PRL's design.

Company doing this is called PLM - Private Label Manufacturing and is all done in China. You will get what you paid for.

Contact @PRL Motorsports for the real thing and more info.

Maybe some folks can leave some bad reviews on that site. It looks like there's no reviews atm.

I think warning the community about the potential lack of quality of this is perfectly appropriate, but I'm not sure leaving a bad review is the right way to go about it. Also, I'm not sure I understand what everyone is so upset about. It looks like a pretty standard FMIC. Does PRL have a patent application pending? If not, I imagine this sort of thing is perfectly legal. See Compco Corp. v. Day-Brite Lighting, Inc., 376 U.S. 234 (1964).

Yeah, Iā€™m not sure what theyā€™re on about. Complaining about the quality of a product none of them have any experience with. They use cast end tanks instead of machined while charging less. How dare they.

Quality doesnā€™t look bad at all bar and plate intercoolers arenā€™t rocket science. Using a PLM Toda style header on my old CTR replica with zero issues.

PLM is known for making knock-offs of Toda Headers and other stuff. With that being said, I'd rather pay a little extra and get it from PRL. Gotta support the little guys. :D

yeah, they do knock offs of everything, they clearly try to copy PRL then have it made in China and imported under the PLM name. If Im not mistaken they used the Kidd racing name too. Stuff always has terrible fitment issues and uses the cheapest materials available. lots of 8th gen guys had cracked their header and the welds would bust. but sure buy it to save a few bucks, itll be fine they say. I choose to support the company who is a vendor here, makes their parts here and does elaborate write ups of everything from R&D to install videos. Thanks @PRL Motorsports for all you do for this community

these are 450 on amazon btw... if the flanges are flat and things line up i'm probably going to try one as i think the billet end tanks are 3000% overkill.

First, where is the injen $454? cheapest Ive seen is $549 then add $300 for pipes, second its not about just price......There is a difference in Injen and PLM, PLM straight up bought a PRL intercooler, shipped it to China, scanned the dimensions, sourced a cheap shitty core, bought piping in the exact color of PRL and basically stole all their work only to sell it cheaper.

After re reading my reply I guess it sounded like I was comparing Injen to PLM. I was genuinely asking if the Injen intercooler was legit.
