Would only add about thirty minutes for Richmond folks to go 81 versus through North Carolina, but could meet the same group farther south towards Roanoke.

Been to The Dragon x7 but in my MINI Coopers. Fun stretch of road but if it's your first time be careful. Tennessee cop followed me from mile 8 to 11.

I talked to the wife about it tonight. She's always down. Anyone bringing kids? I've got an 11 yr. son that would be with us. I may just have to plan a family vacation around this. Is there anything like this closer to SW Florida?

We are looking at coming and my 12 year old son will be there . He's all about Cars .


As for the comment about gas stations .... not a lot of competion on small towns near Bryson City etc. Gas in the Nantahala area of NC is easily 15 or 20 cents a gallon higher than Tenn and Georgia. So fuel up before you get there .
