Awesome! Estimated cost for the kit and hours of labor? Gonna start saving now!On 93 octane for sure. 92 octane I wouldn't push it harder.
No it still has plenty of torque to pass in 6th gear... I should lay it over the stock dyno pull... still makes more power than stock.
Nothing set in stone yet as of now, but we're looking around $1k plus a refundable core fee -- or you send in your turbo and we just modify that one. We will be using Si cores -- so we would want an Si/CRV core back.Awesome! Estimated cost for the kit and hours of labor? Gonna start saving now!
LoL I'm sure @PRL Motorsports will have something for us soon. This turbo upgrade will actually be nicer on your rods though lolSo when are you going to release a rod upgrade now? LOL!
The test car has a PRL CAI, DP/FP. Only thing missing was the intercooler -- which at these boost levels is needed badly, but we still managed to see great gains (I imagine it'll be even better with their intercooler on it). What kind of improvements will bolt-ons add to this turbo? Ala a DP/FP, CAI, etc.
Awesome. When will this kit become available? The test car has a PRL CAI, DP/FP. Only thing missing was the intercooler -- which at these boost levels is needed badly, but we still managed to see great gains (I imagine it'll be even better with their intercooler on it).
We already have a couple customers working on sending us turbos in to get modified. Finalizing details and I should be able to post more concrete information soon.Awesome. When will this kit become available?
i drive a hatchback sport so what would be the core charge if i dont have one to send in? hate to buy a new turbo to just use as a core lolNothing set in stone yet as of now, but we're looking around $1k plus a refundable core fee -- or you send in your turbo and we just modify that one. You'd be paying for the cost of the Si/CRV turbo. Or you can send in the Hatch turbo to be modded -- it'll still make more power, just probably not quite as much as the Si turbo.i drive a hatchback sport so what would be the core charge if i dont have one to send in? hate to buy a new turbo to just use as a core lol
ahh so if bought the SI turbo and sent it to you guys you just modd that one? plus is there anything else i would have to change to make the turbo fit? You'd be paying for the cost of the Si/CRV turbo. Would you anticipate a precipitous drop in mileage due to the much higher boost levels? If so, I am totally cool with it -- would just want to anticipate this in the cost of ownership.I'd buy the Si turbo for you -- my cost is probably better
And it's literally a drop in install. Took me about 90 minutes on our Si. Obviously you'll need to tune it.
